I just resolved it, but it took a bit of work - you need to have AdblockPlus with the Element Hiding Helper for Adblock extension installed. Solution in that case was a bad extension, but that's not the case for me. "Whenever I select text of a webpage a floating social media bar (share FB, G+, Twitter and Gmail) appears over the text - it's a distraction and I want rid of it. I've been having the same problem on a stock message board exactly like the problem described in this archived post: Since upgrading to version 57, a social media strip of icons appears on every window I open.
